The site has close tree covered areas in addition to a large clear field with tree breaks.
Those with limited mobility may struggle with the Western section of the site accessed via steps and/or steep slopes.
What facilities are available on-site?
There are 2 lodges; Taurus Lodge the large building at the south edge of the site for meals and Player briefings. There are power sockets here for charging phones, tag weapons and any life support the Mechanicum could need.
The Dean Lodge just East of the 2 flagpoles, for NPCs and Prop storage. This too has power sockets for device charging.
The Toilet and Shower Block is subdivided as Gents and Ladies.
These are functional and clean, and please maintain them in this fashion.
How do I reach the site by public transport?
The nearest station is Banbury, but there is no realistic public transport connection to the site itself. We will attempt to matchmake those who need collection from the station with another attendee willing to pick them up. Please get in touch with us to talk about this.
Can I bring a camper van or caravan?
The car park is a fair size and we can accommodate these but be aware, in common with many Scout sites, the road onto the site is uneven and potholed. No power or water hookup is available.
Is there on-site catering?
We intend to offer a catering option from a known LARP caterer, details TBC, with a weekend's food costing in the region of £35.
Can I cook my own food?
The main site kitchen will be in use by the LARP caterer, but you will be able to store food in the fridge.
Are there bunks on site?
There are a very limited number of bunks available for crew, please contact us in advance if you would like to use one.
Can I have a campfire?
The only place open fires are allowed is the Fire Pit area to the North of the main field. In common with most UKLTA events we will have a social meetup at the Fire Pit after the end of play on Friday and Saturday night.
